Time to kick-off the new project

On the 22nd of March we went to the Singularity University, which is located at Strijp-S Eindhoven. Here Michael J. Dawkins, the Innovation Hub Director at Singularity, gave a presentation about the World Global Challenges. He spoke about what these challenges are and which inventions already exist to tackle these challenges. He also showed us how rapidly the world is changing and made us think about it.

There are 12 Global Challenges. These are:

• Disaster Resilience

• Energy

• Environment

• Food

• Governance

• Health

• Learning

• Prosperity

• Security

• Shelter

• Space

• Water

We from Slimpel are going to choose one of these Challenges and try to come up with a solution for (a part of) this Challenge.
