Debating and eating

On Wednesday the 12th of April, Fontys and Cornelis Serveert organized a workshop day for us. The main focus of this day was the subject dilemmas, mainly dilemmas in the technical sector.

At first we were placed in groups and every group got a dilemma. There was group 1a and 1b, group 2a and 2b, etc. Groups A had to defend the dilemma, and groups B had to refute it. The dilemmas were made up by creative people who tackle with these dilemmas in daily life. Each group had to do research about the subject and got 10 minutes to skype with the person who prepared the dilemma. We had some time to ask them questions and come up with better arguments to defend the dilemma.

At the end of the day, we had to defend our opposition about our given dilemma against the other group, who had the same dilemma. The group who could convince the most people in the crowd, won the debate.

This fun and creative day ended with everyone eating lovely hamburgers.
