Week 4 - The chosen theme

A little research and some knowledge further we are step by step getting closer to our final theme! With our latest research, we wanted to trigger our motivation by choosing a theme that needed more diving in to it because it was still a little an unknown theme with all of us. This week we had discussed the outcomes of our research about the theme security.

After discussing the outcomes of everyone’s research we concluded that we had two main topics that draws everyone’s attention. Urbanisation and child safety were the organised topics. When this was concluded, we did a quick voting round which ended up in a tie. So, you guessed it, we discussed just a little bit more.

The conclusion was that we wanted to focus on a global challenge with this project. Therefore, we as a group had chosen the topic urbanisation to continue with.

On Wednesday, we continued with the topic urbanisation. Today everyone had searched for developments within the topic urbanisation. Just to took a quick look around at what already has been done for this problem. We found that urbanisation has big consequences for biodiversity in cities. Buildings rise and nature increases. We even found out that the Netherlands are one of the worst countries in the whole world when it comes to biodiversity.

After we narrowed down our theme to a problem that needs to be solved, it was time for a little vacation!

After the school break we will work on our go / no go presentation. We will make the design and text after the breaks so we have a little more time to search for information that backs up our story.
