GBO Innovation Makers is a design company founded in 1989 by Jacques Gramser, Erwin Boes and Jeroen op ten Berg. Jacques Gramser director/partner of GBO was our guest at Fontys Eindhoven to tell us about his company.

GBO Innovation makers has been working for more than 25 years on the success factors of their clients by developing & realizing distinctive products from three services:

For us as 3D printers and concept developers from Slimpel, these are important and interesting aspects to learn about.

Jacques Gramser has shown several products designed by GBO. One of the products Slimpel really likes, is the KIGO KidsWatch. It is the most reliable location watch in the World. The Kigo signals when the watch is removed and has an alarm button to warn parents quick and easily. This product responds to one of the Global Challenges “Security”. Other products that have our interests, are the disposable cutlery. The disposable cutlery combines design with requirements of high volume production. It is interesting for us to see how the proper design for strength and material savings are combined.

GBO works from various branches: Helmond, Antwerp and Hong Kong. This gives their clients international insights and local solutions.

Because of the dynamic deployment of the three services they reduce time-to-market and insure their clients to have all the the necessary tools to innovate successfully. Something Slimpel also strives for!
